What I’m currently writing:

CODENAME: PROJECT WARHORSE

YA Fantasy. Book 1 complete and seeking representation.

For years, the kingdom of Lassar has lived in uneasy peace, preserving the old magic and defending the Imagi who wield it. The bloody battles fought over the river are now only songs and stories, and none is better known than the tale of Chanteron, the valiant warhorse who saved the king’s life and ensured Lassarian victory.

Serena and Gisele d’Hanna have never heard these stories. But they have been haunted by the wild gray ghost horse who roams near their home. When a stranger from Lassar shows interest in the horse, claiming that the ghost first appeared on the night Gisele was born, they realize that their own lives are part of a much larger tale… and that those who take Chanteron’s reins discover the true meaning of magic.

CODE NAME: DRAGON NOVEL

Adult Fantasy. First draft complete; under revision.

For generations, the Galloway family has won renown for their skill at dragon slaying and kept the lands of Diantha from burning to the ground. When Leora Tempest meets Ivar Galloway’s heir, she knows she will not rest until she has won his heart.

But Quinn Galloway is not like his father, and not like any of Leora’s other conquests. He is private. Shy. Strangely passionate about the deadly, dragon-infested north he calls home.

And no one has ever learned his most dangerous secret.

Until now.

CODE NAME: STABLEMATES

MG series. Second draft of Book 1 complete; under revision.

Hannah Lin hasn’t been on a horse since the fall that broke her arm and shattered her confidence. When she agrees to give riding another try, she finds herself swept away in the camaraderie and drama of the local Pony Club… and reminded of the healing power of horses.

CODE NAME: HEDGE NOVEL

YA Fantasy. Brainstorming/first draft stage.

Involves maps and cars and parallel worlds. Possibly a 2015 NaNoWriMo project.

CODE NAME: SOUL NOVEL

YA Fantasy. Shelved until I figure out why NaNoWriMo 2014 made me want to run screaming into the hills.
